ABOUT US
THE MISSION
Throughout our extensive combined experiences, we have seen:
Too many talented players let down by the system.
Too much potential gone to waste.
Too many careers ended too early.
We started P2C to do our part in getting YOU recruited. We wanted to provide the experience of high level training, the best mentorship & guidance, and the opportunity to be seen by coaches, all without the high price tag.
Everyone's path to the next level is unique, and we want to show you what YOUR options look like.
We are providing exposure within all layers of institutions, and preparing you for your future environment.
Get the collegiate training experience that prepares you to seize the oppurtunity when it arrives
Everyone has a different path. Create yours.
My name is Julian Calderon. I was born in Bogotá, Colombia and I moved to Calgary when I was 5 years old.
I played for South West United and Calgary Villains during my youth career winning a couple of provincial tier 1 medals.
I signed to SAIT during my grade 12 summer but did not play due to covid. During my first year of college, I emailed every single USPORTS team in the country and ended up signing with Thompson Rivers University. From then I went signed my first semi pro contract with Rivers FC and won a USPORTS Nationals Championship.
After that I signed to a semi-pro NPSL team in Minnesota for the summer and transferred to the University of Saskatchewan.
I started mentoring because I see so many talented kids that don't make it to the next level. I want to close the gap between youth and college soccer.
Connor was the only coach who gave me a chance in grade 12. He turned me into the player I am today and I am so grateful to be starting P2C with someone I looked up to for many years.
My coaching philosophy is simple. I believe that footy is the conduit we as coaches use to make a positive impact on our players' lives.
Outside of the X's and O's, I pride myself as a coach, Leader, and Mentor. I believe that we have to look to understand the person within the player in order to have a meaningful impact.
As a leader, I believe we need to create, set, and maintain a level of standards that will help our athletes become the best people possible after sport.
The goal in coaching is to show players that they have more inside them then they often realize and to help them meet that potential.
I believe in the impact of a support system and mental resources. Our sport pushes us to the limits at the collegiate level. Having a team is a wonderful resource but having the tools needed to deal with your struggles is something I advocate heavily. I believe the experience of the athlete is as important as the development of the athlete.
Sports teach us lessons we carry for life, and every athlete should strive to experience the student-athlete lifestyle.
